Operational Leadership
Partner with the General Manager to oversee all daily dispensary operations and ensure efficient compliant and profitable store performance.
Assume full operational responsibility for the store in the General Managers absence.
Support the successful transition of the Somerville dispensary into the EMBR brand by implementing company standards SOPs and operational best practices.
Ensure all company policies security procedures and operational standards are consistently followed.
Identify operational challenges and implement solutions that improve efficiency and the guest experience.
Maintain a clean organized safe and compliant retail environment at all times.
Sales & Business Performance
Help drive sales performance through coaching merchandising promotional execution and exceptional customer service.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales labor average basket size conversion inventory variance and customer satisfaction.
Assist with cash management daily reconciliations deposits and financial accountability.
Partner with the General Manager to execute business initiatives that improve operational performance and profitability.
Compliance & Inventory Management
Ensure compliance with all Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) regulations company SOPs and applicable state and local laws.
Assist with inventory control METRC compliance cycle counts audits reconciliations and inventory accuracy.
Audit online menus to ensure accurate pricing product availability and product information.
Partner with the inventory team to maintain accurate stock levels and efficient fulfillment processes.
Ensure all compliance documentation and operational records are maintained accurately and on time.
Leadership & Team Development
Support recruiting hiring onboarding training and retention of exceptional team members.
Coach mentor and develop Leads and Budtenders through regular feedback accountability and performance conversations.
Assist with scheduling attendance tracking performance reviews and workforce planning.
Foster a culture of accountability teamwork recognition and continuous improvement.
Help identify and develop future leaders within the organization through coaching and succession planning.
Address employee concerns professionally while partnering with the General Manager on performance management and corrective action when necessary.
Customer Experience

Qualifications To be successful in this role candidates should possess the following:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must successfully complete all required background screenings including Massachusetts LiveScan requirements.
Minimum of three (3) years of retail leadership experience required; cannabis retail management experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of cannabis products retail operations and Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission regulations.
Experience with Dutchie POS METRC Weedmaps or comparable retail systems preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead coach and develop high-performing teams.
Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity professionalism and accountability.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
