As an Assistant General Counsel you will play a critical leadership role within Arxadas Legal Department serving as the lead attorney for the Microbial Control Solutions business in North America. You will partner closely with senior leaders and crossfunctional teams to enable business growth manage risk and deliver practical solutionsoriented legal advice across a broad range of commercial corporate operational and employment matters. Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide strategic legal support across commercial contracting procurement quality operations transactional and general corporate matters
  • Serve as lead legal advisor to the Microbial Control Solutions business in North America
  • Support the US HR function including employment counseling internal investigations and employment law matters
  • Manage complex legal matters independently while partnering closely with the General Counsel and senior stakeholders
  • Handle commercial disputes and support litigation including managing outside counsel and related budgets
  • Identify legal and compliance risks and lead the development and implementation of mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally to enable business objectives and continuously improve legal processes

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and license to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction
  • Min. 10 years of combined experience in a major law firm and inhouse legal department (prior inhouse experience required)
  • Strong background in commercial transactions and corporate legal matters; experience in chemical life sciences or manufacturing industries is an advantage
  • Excellent business acumen with the ability to deliver clear pragmatic and solutionsfocused legal advice
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong leadership communication and stakeholdermanagement skills


The expected salary range for this role is 225000 USD to 275000 USD but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience education training licensure certification location and other jobrelated nondiscriminatory factors permitted by law. This role is also eligible to earn a shortterm incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan medical dental vision life and disability insurance paid time off paid holidays and paid sick leave.
