Position Description:

Provides positive learning experiences associated with the fall cheer program. Provide guidance leadership and the fundamental skills necessary to execute the program in a successful manner. Assume the leadership role in relation to team organization practice schedules equipment and assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Valid first aid/ CPR Card.
  • Previous coaching experience specific to position.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with students staff parents and community.
  • Willingness to maintain and improve knowledge through regular course work and clinics.
  • Meet the WIAA coaching standard criteria.
  • Must pass a state and federal background check.

Job Duties:

  • Provides positive learning experience.
  • Provide guidance leadership and the fundamental skills necessary to execute the program in a successful manner.
  • Assist the Head Coach.
  • Develop appropriate objectives of the assigned sport/activity
  • Continually teach and emphasize safety procedures and precautions to all athletes
  • Routinely communicate with parents and players using the approved notification systems
  • Operate and maintain district equipment as required; insure their safe and proper use; protect the interest of the district regarding pilferage loss theft or abuse of all district facilities and equipment
  • Report verbally and in writing to the Athletic Director any equipment and/or facility found to be in an unsafe condition
  • Report all injuries to building administration or Athletic Director and complete appropriate report(s)
