Assistant Engineer I

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with a design team from initial studies and conceptual design through construction.

• Assist in preparing engineering deliverables including planning studies condition assessments engineering calculations design reports and design drawings and specifications.
• Manage data for modeling and design.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure project success.
• Attend client and internal project management meetings.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment.
• Support multiple projects from planning through construction.
• Participate in site visits as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program (other engineering degrees considered case by case).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong interest in the water/wastewater industry.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience within the water/wastewater industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• EIT certification.
• Advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Basic proficiency in GIS CAD/BIM Microsoft Excel PowerBI or hydraulic & hydrologic modeling software.
• Strong communication skills self-motivation organization and attention to detail.
• Educational background in water resources water or wastewater treatment stormwater and/or conveyance and collection systems.
