NYC Parks is an award-winning city agency that builds and cares for public spaces for New Yorkers to connect play and enjoy. These public spaces encompassing over 5000 properties and 14% of the citys land and coastline include seawalls and waterfronts pedestrian bridges beaches and boardwalks parks and playgrounds historic houses recreation centers and pools.
Major Responsibilities
-Under supervision perform electrical engineering work of moderate difficulty and responsibility including electrical power distribution lighting for buildings recreational facilities sports lighting security lighting fire detection and communication systems.
-Develop electrical drawings specifications and estimates of quantities for projects with electrical engineering components to Capital designers.
-Manage electrical engineering projects ensure that the Capital process for review and approval is followed and keep projects on schedule and within budget.
-Coordinate with the Department of Transportation Division of Street Lighting for security lighting design and submittals.
-When directed manage and review electrical consultant engineering projects.
-Conduct field inspections before and during design and construction as well as through turnover.
-Supply with engineering component designs and details.
-Engage in research investigations studies and examinations of electrical components as needed.

ASSISTANT ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - 20310
Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in electrical engineering work; or
2. A baccalaureate degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college and a masters degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
A masters degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university can only be used to substitute for one year of full-time satisfactory work experience in electrical engineering. A degree in any other engineering area or in any engineering technology area is not acceptable.
