Job Summary
General Summary of Position:
This being a promotional opportunity only current UML Employees with the same Bargaining unit are eligible to apply for this position.
Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions report to the Senior Associate Director of Admissions and are responsible for fulfilling core traditional admissions functions that support and advance the recruitment and enrollment goals of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Primary responsibilities include representing the university in both in-person and virtual settings such as high school visits college fairs information sessions parent and student programs tour introductions panel discussions and webinars. Assistant Directors also read evaluate and summarize applications for collaboration with the Senior Associate Director Assistant Directors contribute to the development and implementation of office policies recruitment plans and enrollment strategies. Each Assistant Director is assigned specific projects and programs for which they are responsible for planning execution and assessment and may serve as a liaison to designated academic departments or campus offices. Assistant Directors must demonstrate the ability to effectively manage an assigned recruitment territory with an emphasis on enrolling high-achieving diverse local and out-of-state students.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- A Bachelors degree is required; a Masters degree is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in undergraduate admissions is required along with at least two years of experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Candidates must demonstrate experience organizing events and independently leading projects from conception through completion.
- The position requires the ability to critically read and evaluate applications for admission as well as a willingness to work beyond a conventional workweek including extensive travel virtual recruitment and frequent evening and weekend hours.
- A valid drivers license and access to personally owned reliable transportation are required.
Additional Considerations:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team is essential. Experience recruiting across diverse communities is preferred.

This is an internal promotional opportunity in the SEIU 888 Professional Union P16. Anticipated salary based on qualifications within range: Minimum $th $67879 and midpoint $76085.
