Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Student Financial Operations manages the technical processes for the Office of Financial Aid. Reporting to the Director of Student Financial Operations this position is a key partner in all critical technical processes focusing on the implementation and administration of various systems to support the goals of Financial Aid and Enrollment Management. This includes enhancing both prospective and current student experience while ensuring regulatory compliance. The position is vital to the success of financial aid operations. The Assistant Director must be able to work both collaboratively and independently in the management of project initiatives reporting deadlines and the ever-changing business needs of the department. The Assistant Director collaborates closely with campus partners particularly Information Technology Student Accounts Admissions Marketing Communications Finance and the Registrars Office.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree and minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility in Financial Aid Student Accounts Banking or another related field. Demonstrated strong technical skills and expertise in relevant tools and technologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to make decisions based on objective data while applying complex regulations and institutional policies. Must be in good standing in all Federal Title IV programs. Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree and seven (7) years of experience in higher education. Experience using Ellucians Banner or other Student Information System. Experience with Enterprise Scheduler Federal COD NSLDS Systems TDClient and/or EdConnect. Knowledge of and commitment to Lasallian Values.
