Assistant Director of Nursing MedSurg

We have partnered with a highly respected community hospital in New York. This is a beautiful location for those who enjoy the outdoors. We are working to help them identify an Assistant Director of Med/Surg. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse Manager Assistant Nurse Manager or emerging nursing leader looking to step into executive leadership.

Reporting directly to the CNO youll join a health system affiliated with a University combining the feel of a community hospital with the resources of a larger academic network.

In this role youll:

• Lead daily operations of a busy Medical/Surgical service
• Mentor and develop nursing leaders and staff
• Drive quality patient safety and employee engagement
• Partner closely with the CNO on operational initiatives
• Help foster a culture built on accountability and empowerment

There are several units comprising 26-32 beds supported by a 24/7 supervisor 29 FTE an awesome culture focused on empowerment and accountability. Excellent patient satisfaction scores and a high focus on employee engagement.

Were looking for:

BSN required; MSN preferred or in progress

Progressive acute care nursing leadership experience

Strong communication and team-building skills

Passion for coaching and developing others
