SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directs and supervises assigned staff including performance evaluations scheduling orientation and training. Makes decisions on employee hires transfers promotions salary changes discipline terminations and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position manage all monthly risk management quality improvement (CQI) and infection control meetings documentation and in-services for facilitySupervise and manage assigned staff including performance evaluations scheduling orientation training and ongoing support; resolve employee relations issues as needed; Makes decisions on employee hires transfers promotions salary changes discipline terminations and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing in determining the staffing needs of the nursing services departmentResponsible for rotating all on-call schedules and to fill in as floor nurse as neededMake daily rounds of the nursing service departments to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards; report any findings to Director of NursingAssist the Director of Nursing in the development of in-service training programs for the nursing staffEnsure that training programs meet the continuing education requirements which allow licensed personnel to keep their licenses in an active statusManage all Minimum Data Set (MDS) reports in compliance with state regulations as neededServe as a positive role model for all staff service providers and the community at largePerforms other related duties and activities as : Associate Degree in Nursing with current RN licensure Three years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent proficiency in the areas of responsibility may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements Additional certificates/licenses as required by the state Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport with others Self-motivated highly organized and detail-oriented Commitment to the companys mission and valuesBlood Borne Pathogen Category: Job requires performance of duties that involve potential for exposure to blood body fluids or tissues. Tasks that do involve exposure are an expectation of Requirements:Medium Work.
