$94957.00 - $147183.00The Assistant Director of Faculty Practice Nursing Operations supports the Director of Faculty Practice Nursing Operations in the oversight and coordination of ambulatory nursing operations across Faculty Practice sites. The Assistant Director collaborates with nursing leadership practice administration providers and operational teams to ensure the delivery of high quality patient-centered care in a safe efficient and compliant manner.The Assistant Director assists in the implementation of strategic initiatives operational priorities workforce planning clinical quality improvement activities and standardization efforts across Faculty Practice locations. This role serves as an operational and clinical resource to nursing leadership and staff and acts on behalf of the Director as delegated.
The Assistant Director partners closely with the nurse supervisors to support operational consistency nursing practice standards patient access workforce optimization and care delivery initiatives throughout the Faculty Practice. This role supports the Faculty Practice nursing leadership structure and contributes to the achievement of organizational goals related to patient care access quality experience workforce engagement and operational performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic and Operational Planning
Assists the Director in implementing nursing and clinical operations strategies goals and organizationäl priorities.
Supports ambulatory nursing initiatives related to patient access care quality operational efficiency.
Collaborates with Practice Administrators providers Nurse Supervisors and standardized clinical workflows and operational consistency.
Assists in identifying and monitoring key performance indicators (KPls) related to effectiveness patient experience throughput and clinical quality.
Participates in planning and implementation of ambulatory care delivery models operational Improvement Initiatives.
Supports compliance with regulatory accreditation infection prevention and scope of practice standards relevant to ambulatory settings.
Planning and Program Management
Assists with implementation of policies procedures and clinical operational standards across Faculty Practice locations.
Supports onboarding and operational Integration of new clinical programs providers service expansions and acquisitions.
Participate in development and maintenance of standardized ambulatory nursing workflows and operational practices.
Assists with evaluation of program outcomes and implementation of process improvement Initiatives.
Collaborates with nursing education and operational leaders to support competency development and ambulatory workforce initiatives.
Operational Management
Assists the Director in overseeing day-to-day ambulatory nursing operations across Faculty Practice sites. Serves as a resource to Nurse Supervisors and clinical staff regarding operational issues workflow concerns staffing support and escalation management.
Supports development and implementation of staffing models and role optimization strategies that align with patient volume and operational needs. Collaborates with Practice Administration and physician leadership to identify workflow barriers and implement operational improvements.
Assists in coordinating float coverage staffing contingency planning and operational support across sites as needed.
Participates in operational rounding and engages with staff to support communication consistency and Issue resolution.
Supports implementation and optimization of clinical systems workflows and operational Initiatives.
Financial Management
Assists the Director in monitoring labor utilization staffing productivity and operational resource management.
Supports fiscally responsible operations through appropriate utilization of staffing supplies and clinical resources.
Participates In preparation and review of operational reports and performance metrics.
Assists with operational planning related to staffing and clinical resource needs.
Human Resource Management
Supports recruitment onboarding orientation retention and engagement of ambulatory nursing staff.
performance educational policies and assists with mentoring coaching and professional development of nursing leaders and staff.
Collaborates with Nurse Supervisors and Human Resources regarding employee relations management and policy compliance.
Supports succession planning and leadership development Initiatives within Faculty Practice Nursing.
Assists in ensuring staff maintain required licensure certifications competencies and mandatory requirements.
Mentors counsels and disciplines staff to ensure quality of work and adherence to hospital procedures while engaging in and advocating for succession planning for nurse leaders.
Leadership and Collaboration
Acts as a liaison between Faculty Practice Nursing leadership Practice Administration providers and operational departments.
Participates in organizational committees workgroups and initiatives as assigned
Supports communication and change management efforts related to operational and clinical initiatives.
Serves as operational lead or designee in the absence of the Director as appropriate.
Promotes a culture of accountability collaboration quality and continuous improvement.
Patient Safety and Regulatory Compliance
Supports compliance with professional regulatory accreditation and organizational standards.
Assists with Implementation and monitoring of patient safety Initiatives and quality Improvement activities.
Participates in investigation and resolution of patient safety workflow and operational concerns.
Supports a culture of safety reporting and continuous improvement.
Ensures adherence to infection prevention emergency preparedness and ambulatory care safety standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) - required
Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN) - preferred
Minimum 57 years of progressive nursing experience in ambulatory or outpatient care settings - required
Minimum 23 years of leadership or supervisory experience - required
Demonstrated experience in clinical operations staff leadership workflow optimization and regulatory compliance
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure - required
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
