Reporting to the Director of Disability Services the Assistant Director - My Place Program provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the My Place Program: Enhanced Services for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
This position is responsible for creating a strategic vision for growth and development of the program budget management compliance assessment and stakeholder engagement. This role ensures that all components of the program support the academic social and personal success of students served.
The incumbent also creates new program events and workshops collects and reviews program data related to attendance GPA and retention rates and develops supplemental materials to support program goals. Further the Assistant Director - My Place Program regularly collaborates with the Associate Director of Disability Services - Special Programs on shared initiatives and provides primary supervision to undergraduate student workers graduate assistants and interns who provide student support while maintaining a personal caseload of student mentees with higher support needs or escalated concerns.
This position requires the availability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in Social Work Counseling Psychology Rehabilitation Counseling Special Education Higher Education Student Affairs or a related field
At least 1 year of experience providing direct support and consultative services to college students on the autism spectrum
Experience creating and facilitating group programs and activities
Experience working collaboratively as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with technology including excel Discord and D2L
Experience training and supervising staff
Experience working with diverse populations
