Job Summary
- Directs the activities of the Child Support program by interpreting and adhering to federal state and local laws and policies.
- Create assess revise and implement local programs policy and procedures in order to meet customer needs and internal objectives.
- Actively participate in all activities committees meetings etc. which facilitate the enhancement of the Department programs and policies as well as directly benefit the Department and the citizens of the county.
- Serve as the recognized expert on Child Support matters when interacting with public officials governmental and community agencies and customers.
- Represent the Department to other agencies in order to establish excellent working relationships with community partners and stakeholders by attending meetings and outreach to the community.
- Participate in the development review approval and monitoring of Cooperative Reimbursement Agreements Memorandums of Understanding and annual contracts that are related to the operation of the Child Support Administration.
- Direct supervise and evaluate subordinate staff in order to assure adherence to policy and regulations and continuous improvement of job performance that meets or exceeds federal state and local performance goals.
- Assure the integrity of Child Support operations through adherence to internal control requirements maintenance of required records completion and use of required reports and participation in audits/reviews as needed.
- Develops implements and monitors budgets and contracts pertaining to the Child Support program.
- Act as a key member of the agencys executive team by demonstrating creativity developing recommendations and actively participate in the decision-making process when addressing administrative issues in accordance with local mission vision and strategic plan.
Education:A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience:Eight years of experience in administrative professional ortechnical work three years must have involved supervision of other employees or exercising responsibility for program development.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required general experience.
2. Candidates may substitute additional professional ortechnical experience in the administration of a humanservices program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs procedures practices andorganizations on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces militaryservice experience at a rank of Corporal/Petty Officer orhigher as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officerclassifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes inthe General Administrative Clerical and Office Servicesfield of work on a year-for-year basis for the requiredexperience and education two yearsmust havebeen in an administrative supervisory or consultativecapacity.
- One year of experience with Child Support Management System.
- One year experience performing quality control and fiscal related duties.
- Two (2) years experience in Program Development.
- Personal Leave - new State employees are awarded six (6) personal days annually (prorated based on start date).
- Annual Leave - ten (10) days of accumulated annual leave per year.
- Sick Leave - fifteen (15) days of accumulated sick leave per year.
- Parental Leave - up to sixty (60) days of paid parental leave upon the birth or adoption of a child.
- Holidays - State employees also celebrate at least twelve (12) holidays per year.
- Pension - State employees earn credit towards a retirement pension.
