Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Designer Womens Apparel to join our Creative team reporting to our Senior Design Director of Womens Apparel. This role is a key supporting member of the cross-functional product team for the Womens apparel categories while contributing to a collaborative high-performing and values-driven workplace.
This position is primarily based in our Greenpoint Brooklyn office and follows a hybrid schedule dependent on role and business needs.
About the role
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for creating updating and organizing all departmental CAD flat illustrations
- Maintain accurate design data and updates within PLM systems
- Support the Womens Design team throughout the seasonal design process from concept through production
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of seasonal line plans design boards and inspiration decks
- Coordinate sample requests track sample status and maintain sample organization throughout the season
- Assist with fittings by preparing garments taking notes and tracking revisions
- Help manage color print and fabric information in collaboration with CAD Fabric and Product Development teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support calendar adherence and on-time delivery
Additional Job Responsibilities:
- Support research on trends color silhouette and competitive landscape
- Assist with seasonal presentations line reviews and milestone meetings
- Help maintain design archives sample closets and digital asset organization
- Perform other related duties as assigned

What we are looking for
Skills & Requirements:
- 0-2 years of experience in apparel design or a related role (womens apparel preferred)
- Strong interest in womens fashion with an understanding of garment construction and fit
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience working in PLM systems and managing design data
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office tools
- Professional experience creating flats in Illustrator.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelors degree in Fashion Design or a related field preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer standing and bending.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to access and navigate various departments at the organizations facilities.

Pay Transparency & Disclaimer
$26.00/hr. - $30/hr. depending on experience skills and qualifications.
