As an Assistant - Converting you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations supporting the efficient and safe operation of converting equipment. This position is central to upholding high standards of quality assurance ensuring adherence to stringent safety procedures and contributing to the overall production process. You are expected to collaborate effectively within a dynamic production team applying strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to workflow management and continuous improvement.

• Operate various converting machines and related equipment ensuring optimal performance and product output adhering to established production process guidelines.
• Perform routine quality control checks on materials and finished products meticulously recording data to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
• Efficiently handle and prepare raw materials coordinating their flow and assisting in the planning of daily production runs to optimize workflow management.
• Conduct basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on converting equipment identifying and resolving minor operational issues to minimize downtime.
• Accurately record production data machine parameters and quality metrics using Computer Literacy tools including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel for comprehensive reporting.
• Actively participate in process improvement initiatives contributing ideas for Lean Manufacturing and overall operational efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervision regarding production status potential issues and scheduling adjustments.

• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferably with exposure to converting operations.
• Thorough knowledge of converting machine operation and basic preventative maintenance techniques.
• Comprehensive understanding of industrial safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Working knowledge of quality assurance principles and quality control methodologies including monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Demonstrated proficiency in Computer Literacy including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with a detail-oriented approach to tasks.
• Effective communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate within a team setting.

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or participation in continuous improvement processes.
• General knowledge of production management and workflow management systems.
• Prior experience in coordinating tasks or providing informal coaching to junior team members demonstrating leadership potential.
• An understanding of how production quality impacts customer satisfaction and overall customer service.
