Job Summary
Major/Essential Duties of the Job:
Assists the Head Coach in all phases of the sports program to include the following: coaching scheduling conditioning contest preparation scouting practice planning budget preparation fund raising purchasing and care of equipment planning and supervision of team travel and monitoring the personal academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
1. Computer competence in word processing database management and
electronic mail.
2. Needs good organizational and interpersonal skills.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
4. Ability to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds.
5. Tolerates work related stress effectively and maintains self-control/professionalism.
Occasional duties:
As assigned by Head Coach or Athletic Director.
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree. Knowledge and experience in coaching or playing assigned sport is required. Basic familiarity with computers scoreboards public address systems etc. Evening nighttime and weekend hours are expected.
Preferred Education/Experience:
Masters degree. Previous experience in coaching or playing assigned sport at the collegiate level.
