Job Summary
Assistant Branch Manager Opportunity Summary:
As an Assistant Branch Manager at W.W. Williams you will work directly with the Branch Manager with the day-to-day operations at the branch to include sales parts rental and service while gaining hands-on leadership experience.
Job Duties:
- Assist with the business forecast and annual operating plans for the branch.
- Reviews monthly operating results against forecast to identify areas of focus and improvement.
- Enforces the adherence to company policy by personnel at the branch to assure compliance with internal and external safety environmental and fiscal standards.
- Participates in establishing long-range goals objectives and/or strategies and communicates them to Branch personnel in a way that motivates them to achieve them.
- Analyzes activities costs operations and/or forecast data to determine Branchs progress toward divisional and corporate initiatives. (e.g. Productivity Wheeltime implementation technician recruitment and retention etc.) Leads related change efforts at the local level.
- Recommends and implements corrective action or procedural changes based on findings of above analyses. Monitors the success of these changes to assure continuous improvement.
- Resolves escalated customer or employee issues to result in the best possible outcome satisfied and loyal customers and employees.
- Maintains facility and equipment to corporate standards and specifications; negotiates with local providers of services and/or repairs to keep facility/equipment expenses within budgets.
- Recruits promotes and/or hires qualified candidates for open positions are the branch.
- Assists with employees performance developing individual performance plans that lead to optimal people performance.
- Confers with Branch Manager and Divisional Leadership to review operational performance and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
- Promotes and builds a workplace culture of engagement growth development open communication and civility.
Work Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Management or Leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to identify and implement process efficiencies.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
