The Missouri Attorney Generals Office is actively seeking an attorney with excellent credentials to serve as an Assistant Attorney General in the Public Protection Section in St. Louis.
The Public Protection Section is involved in a wide range of criminal prosecutions at the investigation and trial level throughout Missouri. Our prosecutors are appointed to assist in serious or complex prosecutions at the request of a local prosecutor and by direction of the Governor or are appointed as special prosecutors by a court when local prosecutors have a conflict of interest. The Public Protection Section handles a wide variety of criminal cases including but not limited to assaults offenses committed against children homicides. Attorneys will be responsible for plea agreements motion practice bench and jury trials and other duties as assigned.
This position will involve intermittent travel within Missouri for meetings trials or court appearances.

- 3 years or more experience in prosecution
- Jury trial experience
- Excellent legal writing oral advocacy and litigation strategy skills

Salary is commensurate with experience.
