Job Summary

Essential Functions:

  • 25% Direct the production of media guides game programs and daily press releases.
  • 30% Attract national and regional media attention while encouraging game day coverage and improving media as a liaison between the University and the media/public.
  • 30% Direct the day-to-day office operations and administer programs to improve the Universitys communication effort.
  • 10% Revise and correct written work while acting as the chief editor for various publications.
  • 5% Manage incoming calls for the purpose of responding to inquiries and resolving problems.

Additional Position Information:

Education:

Requires a relevant Bachelors Degree.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience managing media communications and reporting sports information. Incumbent should possess excellent communication and computer skills including word processing and desktop publishing capabilities. Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics statistics related NCAA rules and regulations and news media is necessary. Prefer four years of experience.
