SUMMARY/SCOPE:

The Kelley College of Business and ProfessionalStudies (KCOBPS) is searching for a strong candidate with business andmanagement experience and education to apply for a critical position within theCollege. The department has a solid student group with nearly 100% placementfor graduates in multiple fields within the business community.

The KCOBPS is looking for one (1) new faculty members toteach undergraduate and graduate courses. The candidate must possess amasters degree in business management or related field with preference givento those with a Ph.D. JDs will be considered. The teaching load is 12 creditsper semester with summer teaching possible with additional compensation. KCOBPSteaches topics in accounting management marketing business law humanresource management organizational behavior finance and economics amongothers. While the primary focus is imparting knowledge in the classroom it isthe goal of the College to develop students into productive community members;therefore business experience outside the classroom is also expected.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide exemplary teaching ofintroductory and upper-level business and/or economics classes.

Advise current and prospectivestudents studying business administration and/or economics.

Collaborate effectively withfaculty staff administrators and members of the community.

Participate in recruitmentactivities for the College as well as the university.

Provide service to the universitythrough involvement in committees as well as university activities () and actively engaged in the community and church

Engage in ongoing scholarly workas well as professional development.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Thereare no supervisor responsibilities except for student workers.

COMPUTER SKILLS:Toperform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of WordProcessing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software; Computer-AidedDesign (CAD) software Design software; Payroll systems and Order processingsystems.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

A Masters Degree in Business Administration Management or Economics is required.

A doctoraldegree is strongly preferred though ABD candidates will be considered.

Teaching andsignificant business experience is preferred.

Must have andmaintain a valid Class C Drivers License and maintain a clear driving recordto be insurable under the university liability policy.
