| Position Highlights | The University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix invites applications for three tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Biomedical Informatics broadly defined. Areas of emphasis include but are not limited to computational medicine artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in healthcare and medicine clinical informatics digital health innovation biomedical data science and data-driven implementation science particularly as applied to complex diseases such as diabetes cancer and other chronic health conditions. These positions are part of a coordinated cluster hire to expand the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the U of A College of Medicine Phoenix. Appointment rank will be commensurate with experience and expertise. These hires are supported by the long-term strategic vision of the College and are aligned with the Universitys priority to strengthen data science-driven innovations in healthcare discovery science and precision medicine across the state. The Department of Biomedical Informatics aims to provide leadership in the development evaluation and application of computational and data-driven approaches to improve healthcare quality safety efficiency and outcomes including applications addressing major public health and biomedical challenges such as diabetes cancer and other chronic health conditions. The Department integrates expertise across clinical informatics AI/ML human-centered design and global data science to address emerging challenges and accelerate discovery in biomedical science and healthcare.
