The Assistant Store Manager supports the Retail Store Manager in leading day-to-day storefront operations managing inventory flow from online auctions to physical customer pickups and ensuring the team delivers efficient accurate and customer-focused service. This role creates value by supporting operational execution resolving escalated issues improving processes and helping maintain a clean organized and secure storefront. Success is measured through customer service quality order fulfillment accuracy inventory flow team performance staffing effectiveness and adherence to company standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily storefront operations including customer pickups product staging order flow and overall customer experience.
- Supervise train coach and motivate associates to ensure efficient friendly accurate and professional service.
- Coordinate with the online auction team to support seamless order fulfillment inventory control and timely customer pickups.
- Handle escalated customer issues and resolve conflicts professionally escalating matters to the Retail Store Manager as appropriate.
- Maintain a clean organized safe and secure storefront aligned with company standards and operational expectations.
- Support scheduling and staffing plans to ensure optimal coverage during high-volume pickup periods and changing business needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with implementing best practices that improve efficiency accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing a team of 12 Team Leads and 20 Warehouse Specialists
Qualifications
Education/ Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience in retail logistics e-commerce operations or a related customer-facing environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced customer-facing retail or operational environment required.
Skills and Ability:
- Strong leadership coaching and team development skills.
- Excellent organizational verbal and written communication skills.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency using POS systems online order platforms and inventory software.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer and operational issues professionally.
- Ability to manage competing priorities support staffing needs and adapt to changing business volume in a fast-paced environment.

Travel:
- Travel is not expected; occasional local travel may be required based on business needs.
Work Conditions/ Physical Demands:
- This position is performed in a retail storefront and warehouse environment and requires regular physical activity including standing walking bending reaching lifting carrying staging merchandise and assisting with customer pickups.
- The employee must be able to lift boxes and merchandise weighing up to 40 pounds.
- The role may require work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to warehouse conditions varying temperatures noise levels and changing customer pickup volumes.
Pay & Benefits:
Compensation is determined by various factors such as location education knowledge skills competencies and experience as well as internal and external equity and organizational needs. Additionally this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
The salary range for this position is $59300 to $74100 annually. The posted range reflects our national average range for the job. We may ultimately pay more or less than the published range based on the factors mentioned above. This range may be modified in the future.
