This role is a great opportunity for someone with electronics manufacturing experience who is ready to step into a working lead position. Whether you have formally led a team helped train others or served as the go-to person on the floor this position gives you the opportunity to lead while staying hands-on in the work.

As the Assembly Team Lead you will help coordinate production flow prioritize work support team members and assemble electronic PCB assemblies and box-build electronic/electrical assemblies. This is a working lead role meaning production work is part of your daily responsibilities.

Work 3 Days. Get 4 Days Off. Every Week.

This position follows a Thursday Saturday 5:00 AM 5:00 PM schedule giving you full-time hours in three days and four consecutive days off every week.

About the Role

The Assembly Team Lead helps maintain and coordinate production flow across electronics manufacturing operations. This role works at the bench and on the shop floor supporting daily production while helping direct team activities troubleshoot issues train employees and keep work moving.

You will be expected to work independently on an off shift with limited management oversight while communicating effectively with the management team. You will also provide first-level technical support to the team and escalate issues when needed.

What Youll Do

  • Coordinate and prioritize production activity and daily workflow
  • Actively lead and work alongside the team on the production floor
  • Assemble electronic PCB assemblies and box-build electronic/electrical assemblies
  • Support Assembly Rework SMT AOI Wave and Test operations as needed
  • Serve as acting supervisor when required
  • Participate in daily team meetings
  • Train employees and follow up to ensure adherence to process
  • Provide first-level technical support to team members and escalate issues according to policy
  • Follow quality policies procedures and workmanship standards
  • Produce and inspect quality products
  • Document communicate and support resolution of production issues
  • Practice and participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities
  • Support 6S safety practices and clean work areas
  • Perform work to appropriate efficiency and utilization standards
  • Provide input into problem-solving processes and identify ways to improve efficiency
  • Support change in a positive and dependable way
  • Work on site as an essential function of the role

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing assembly SMT AOI Wave Test PCB assembly or box-build operations preferred
  • Supervision lead training or mentoring experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently on an off shift with limited management oversight
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions blueprints technical diagrams and written work instructions
  • Proven ability to produce and inspect electronic components and subassemblies in compliance with quality and workmanship standards
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct defects
  • Ability to perform data entry transactions accurately
  • Basic math skills including adding subtracting multiplying and dividing
  • Basic understanding of performance data and ability to read performance graphs
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coach escalate and collaborate effectively
  • Ability to read speak and understand English to support clear communication and comprehension of documentation
  • Positive dependable adaptable and supportive of change
  • Passing scores required on IPC Component Identification and IPC Workmanship Standards courses; in-house training provided
  • Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-controlled facility; U.S. Person status required

This position is located in an electronics manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job the employee may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. PPE is enforced where required.

This work can only be performed on site and regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
