Assembly Production Supervisor 2nd Shift
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to lead a production team in a fast-paced high-volume manufacturing environment. This position serves as a first-line leader responsible for daily production activities employee development safety quality and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who promotes a safety-first culture develops employees through coaching and mentoring and encourages teamwork and process improvement.
- Lead and support production employees to meet daily safety quality and production goals.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Train coach and mentor team members on safety quality equipment operation and productivity.
- Coordinate daily production activities and help ensure schedules and operating goals are met.
- Encourage employees to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support Lean Manufacturing 5S Kaizen Kanban and waste-reduction initiatives.
- Work with technical staff to address production and equipment needs.
- Establish and monitor team goals and performance objectives.
- Address employee questions and concerns and assist with employee relations matters.
- Partner with Union Stewards regarding contractual and disciplinary matters as applicable.
- Promote a respectful collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending and stooping.
- Manual dexterity required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
2nd Shift: MondayThursday 3:00 PM1:00 AM
- 13 years of experience in a fast-paced medium- to high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
- Previous manufacturing supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Business Manufacturing Engineering Operations or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership coaching mentoring and communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and encourage employees to develop proactive solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel.
- Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing 5S Kaizen Kanban and production scheduling preferred.
- Servant-leadership mindset with a commitment to employee development and teamwork.
- Internship co-op or other relevant professional experience may be considered.
Required Skills:
