Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION
Assembly Maintenance - Adhesive and Sealer

4) In general ensure the achievement of OEE targets for the individual Business Units.

a. Additional tasks may include but will not be limited to:

b. Provide leadership from to implement current R&D Projects

c. Investigate/trial new technologies and make recommendations to implement opportunities for improvement.

d. Items related to product and process development regards adhesive & sealer applications

e. Solicit ideas from production for technologies that would strengthen our three-legged stool

f. Organize and lead experts in the field of technology to carry out trials and implementation

g. Review and develop systems to control current technologies

h. Develop ways to tie failures back into FEMA and Control Plans

i. Understand customer requirements and how we control with acceptable ranges.

j. Evaluate controls and improve where failures exist.

k. Audit / document changes daily and report counter measures understand history.

l. Maintain maintenance Quality standards and preventative/ predictive maintenance program for the Assembly Dept. to ensure compliance with QS9000 Requirements.

m. Maintain safety standards of equipment in work area.

n. Perform other duties as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

SKILL (Ability to do the job)

Communication Skills

Ability to:

Read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures and governmental regulations.

Write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.

Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customer and the public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Manufacturing Environment:

Examples are 1) Transports materials or inspects building equipment and other items; 2) Operates computers or other office equipment; and 3) Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Physical demands should be described in terms of what has to be done and not in terms of physical or mental attributes.

EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED

Basic Hand Tools

Digital Multimeter

KNOWLEDGE

EDUCATION: Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year experience and/or training; or Technical Apprenticeship with Certification or Journeyman Card; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TECHNICAL TRAINING: Robotics certifications preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 years of automated manufacturing technical experience required.

Robust understanding in robotics programming.

Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis is desired.

Strong organizational communications and problem-solving skills required. Skilled in using PC and complex software including Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Power Point)

Basic understanding of 1K and 2K Sealer Systems:

Pneumatic pumps

Hoses (some heated)

Shot meter (doser)

Inlet/Outlet (dispense) valves


Required Experience:

IC
