Assembly Lead

Position Overview:

The Main Street location in Radford Virginia is seeking an Assembly Lead to support the Brushless Housed production area. This role will report directly to Robin Akers.

The Assembly Lead is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations within the assigned production cell ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to established processes. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and the ability to effectively direct production activities. The Assembly Lead proactively communicates and addresses safety quality and productivity issues working collaboratively with team members to resolve challenges in a timely manner. Additionally the Assembly Lead ensures that all cell associates comply with company policies procedures and guidelines and appropriately escalates concerns when necessary.

• Enforce safety rules and procedures and escalate safety concerns
• Prioritizework for each cell
• Update production plan
• Job scheduling
• Monitor productivity
• ManageDynamicResourceAllocation
• Ensure on-time completion ofprocess 5S and KanbanAudits
• Monitorassociatestraining program
• Monitorstandard work andeliminatewaste
• Coordinateallshift tasks as applicable
• Perform production work as needed and maintain personal current cell training requirements
• Update and communicate production reports
• Communication of issues as they arise andassistingto resolve them quickly
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives in cell and plantwide

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Must be self-motivated self-directed andhave the ability towork well as a part of a team
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers customers andpeers

• Familiarityreadingprints reviewingdimensionsandreviewing bill of materials
• Experience with Oracle
• Prior experience with problem solving tools
