Assembly Fabricator

Aerometals is looking to add the following position:

Assembly Fabricator

Pay range: $21 - $25 hourly

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:

• Install units parts equipment and components.
• Bolt screw and/or rivet accessories to fasten support or hang components and subassemblies.
• Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs holding fixtures pins clamps and fasteners as required.
• Cut trim and file parts while verifying fitting tolerances to prepare for installation.
• Perform layout fabrication and installation of parts equipment or fabricated items.
• Apply sealants adhesives resins and solvents per customer specifications.
• Utilize hand tools power tools and other manufacturing equipment as required.
• Use fractions decimals and mathematical formulas to solve dimensional problems.
• Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications using measuring tools.
• Read interpret and follow the travelers drawings specifications and work instructions.
• Identify product defects and communicate errors to appropriate personnel.
• Identify tooling requirements and make tooling as needed.
• Bag and tag finished products.
• Understand applicable manufacturing standards and documentation requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Skills:

• Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.
• Ability to understand drawings specifications and work instructions.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Experience: 6 months of transferable skills.

Training: On the job training.

We offer a full range of production services including CNC machining and turning sheet metal fabrication welding assembly autoclave and precision assembly. Aerometals has significant experience manufacturing critical application militarized components to OEM engineering data for use on many fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. Customers include the US Military Boeing Lockheed Sikorsky etc.
