Job Description:
Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications terms and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring component installation hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Fully comprehends and interprets including a variety of technical specifications IPC & J-STD knowledge terms and documents.
- Must be flexible in supporting the program needs by being readily available to flex between processes as necessary.
- Understanding complex work instructions
- Programing and operation of automated equipment
- Must be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise providing on the job training when necessary.
- Be able to work under a low power microscope.
- Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments
- As applicable works autonomously within their designated area.
Qualifications:
- Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Hand soldering experience
- Mechanical assembly experience
