Assembler – Manufacturing & Warehouse

Contractor Opportunity: Assembler I Manufacturing & Warehouse.
Location: Sylmar CA Richmond VA

This onsite opportunity is open to individuals located in the Sylmar CA and Richmond VA surrounding areas

Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting production operations through material handling loading and unloading materials assembly work and quality inspection activities within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Move and/or assist in moving materials required for production machines within the assigned production area.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials in the production area.
• Transport materials between production areas by pushing or pulling carts.
• Assist in lifting and moving heavy loads as required.
• Assemble glass packs and other materials as required by the production area.
• Operate equipment to support the production process.
• Inspect finished products for defects to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work area in accordance with company procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing production warehouse or assembly experience preferred.
• Basic PC skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals.
• Effective communication skills in English (Spanish preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production floor environment.
• Exposure to machinery and varying temperatures.
