Job Summary
PURPOSEThe Assembler Lead performs repetitive assembly operations trains and provides work direction to the assembly team to mass-produce products such as windows doors trusses panels or stairs by performing the following DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPlans and assigns work tasks among assembly team in order to meet daily weekly project or team related production goals. Performs job tracking and reporting overseeing the efficiency and output of assembler team. Trains new assembler employees in the tasks required for component assembly work including actual assembly techniques use of tools and machinery and safety guidelines and procedures. Works in environment where tasks change as varying models of product are produced. Places parts in specified relationship to each other. Bolts clips screws cements or otherwise fastens parts together. Removes defective products as needed. Tends machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line. Works at different workstations as production needs require. Cleans equipment floors and work areas according to safety procedures. Other duties may be RESPONSIBILITIES Provides leadership to workflow however this job has no official supervisory responsibilities MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.A minimum of two years of component assembly experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior carpentry or manufacturing experience. The noise level in the work environment is usually be required to wear ear plugs for noise protection as well as eye protection and other personal protective equipment required by the location.
