Assembler (Aerospace Sub-Assembly)

Position Summary:

The Assembler Level 3 is responsible for assembling complex components and subassemblies into finished products while ensuring compliance with engineering drawings work instructions and quality standards. This position requires a high level of mechanical aptitude attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Shift:

Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assemble components and subassemblies into completed products according to engineering drawings specifications and work instructions.
• Perform complex mechanical assemblies using a variety of hand tools power tools fixtures and measuring equipment.
• Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure they meet dimensional visual and quality specifications.
• Verify product acceptance using precision measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers gauges and other inspection tools.
• Identify troubleshoot and resolve minor assembly or fit-up issues while maintaining product quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints assembly drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.
• Handle materials and components carefully to prevent damage during the assembly process.
• Maintain measuring equipment in good working condition and use it in a manner that prevents damage or loss of calibration.
• Follow all company safety policies quality procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Assist in training and mentoring lower-level assemblers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Three or more years of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and written work instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand walk bend and reach throughout the workday.
• Frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds; occasionally lift up-to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Manual dexterity required to handle small parts and operating hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise machinery and varying temperatures while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
