ASL Tutor

JOB TITLE: ASLTutor
LOCATION: St. Paul Campus
PAY RATE: 16.50

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the ASL Tutor is to provide academic support to students under the supervision of a faculty supervisor. Tutors may also assist faculty with classroom-related support and instructional activities as addition tutors maintain a regular weekly schedule to provide tutoring assistance during designated walk-in hours.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

• Provide individualized tutoring support to students with varying levels of ASL proficiency
• Maintain a professional respectful and supportive learning environment
• Communicate clearly and patiently with students during tutoring sessions
• Assist students with homework assignments and exam preparation
• Participate in tutor orientation and training sessions
• Track and report the number of students courses and topics covered
• Available to work 4-6 hours per week

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for student employment St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate graduate and doctoral levels.
