Asheville CMC Technician – Level C (3rd Shift)

• Complete required training for each assigned fabrication or machining process; complete all compliance and EHS training

• Actively contribute to a high performance self directed work team; participate in safety and/or quality audits

• Execute production tasks across multiple CMC process areas as trained and qualified which may include:

  • Gerber table cutting equipment

  • Lay up (hand application of raw material onto molds)

  • Furnace operations: autoclave burnout melt infiltration

  • Grit blasting

  • CNC machine operation

  • Non conventional machining (EDM laser drilling)

  • Visual and machine inspection

• Follow standard work safety procedures and quality requirements; accurately record operations and production data

• Support problem solving and continuous improvement to enhance Safety Quality Delivery and Cost.

• High school diploma or GED

• Flexibility to adjust schedules for training as required

• Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity

• Legally authorized to work in the United States; any offer is contingent upon successful completion of the preemployment process (including background check and drug screening)

This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

• Prior CMC and/or manufacturing experience

• Ability to work independently in a team environment

• Flexibility to rotate between shop operations; computer proficiency

• Strong mechanical/technical aptitude thorough documentation skills
