As a Armed Security Officer - Vehicle Route Patrol in Austin TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas perform vehicle and/or foot patrols and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $22.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents alarms disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify identification visitor authorization and/or vehicle entry in accordance with site protocols while maintaining accurate logs and reports.
• Support emergency and situational response activities including de-escalation crowd management and coordination with first responders while following post orders and applicable use of force guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
