- Operates equipment used for loading and unloading of materials.
- Receives stores issues materials and supplies as required.
- Maintains the storage yard/docks in an orderly manner.
- Conducts inventories as required and records variances.
- Performs related routine clerical work making appropriate entries associated with the movement of materials assisting with inventories as required.
- Performs all work according to established company procedures.
- Assists with training of other stores staff in operation of yard equipment.
- Performs other duties which are similar related or incidental to this position.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Required Experience
- Experience in operating yard equipment; mechanical aptitude
Other Requirements
- This position is subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements under 49 CFR Part 40 and FMCSA regulations (Part 382).
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Familiar with the use of hooks slings and rigging used in the handling of bulky materials or units
- Good sense of proportions and weights
- Good perception and coordination
- Good safety record
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License prior to the end of trial period.
