Summary
Supervises and manages the Environmental Services/Housekeeping program to ensure the hospital environment is maintained in a clean sanitary safe and orderly condition for patients visitors and staff.

Essential Functions

Establishes standards policies and work procedures for housekeeping staff in accordance with hospital guidelines.
Develops work schedules and assigns staff to areas and shifts to ensure adequate coverage and service throughout the hospital.
Recruits trains supervises and evaluates housekeeping personnel.
Conducts routine inspections of hospital facilities to assess cleanliness safety and operational efficiency.
Recommends repairs painting furnishing updates equipment relocation and space reallocation to improve sanitation appearance and workflow.
Identifies and reports unsafe conditions and ensures compliance with safety standards.
Researches and evaluates new housekeeping equipment supplies and cleaning methods.
Prepares budgets departmental reports and other administrative documentation.
Manages inventory levels of housekeeping supplies and equipment and coordinates the purchase of new or replacement items.
Ensures compliance with regulatory infection prevention and hospital quality standards.
