As an Area Dispatcher you will be tasked with organizing the daily dispatch of Field Technicians for a metro area in a safe and timely manner. You will work closely with the Field Service Manager to ensure deliveries are properly scheduled and executed to guarantee superior customer service. Without you our customers cannot meet their operational needs and thats why we seek a professional with integrity who respects and understand the demands of the job.
What youll do:
Oversee dispatch of Field Technicians within the metro-area to maximize efficiency and customer delivery responsiveness
Monitor progress and adjust schedules as service repair requests come in
As needed support branches in maintaining customer relations via phone making additions cancellations and changes regarding equipment location or delivery time
Demonstrate commitment to safety and discipline through exemplary personal compliance accountability and pro-active communication
Perform all safety inspections within company and governmental policies
Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
Technical knowledge of DOT regulations
Diligent attention to safety
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership organization and communication skills
This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals policies and procedures.
