Job Summary
About the PositionWe are seeking an Architecture Manager to support our growing architectural team and business unit. The position will report out of our Jacksonville FL office and work closely with our Vice President of Architecture. The ideal candidate possesses 15 years progressive leadership experience in an architectural design firm with a drive to provide leadership to a diverse architectural and interior design team. The candidate will work closely with the Vice President of architecture to set goals and strategy around employee development and recruiting and lead the operational aspects of the practice. The appropriately qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate previous success in the delivery of architectural projects proven leadership skills and a strong work ethic. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of our growing architectural practice in a multi-disciplinary A/E firm and to have a direct impact on our growth as a Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with Vice President on overall strategic direction of the groupAlign resources in our multiple offices to meet existing and future growth goals and objectives across our service industries (including federal municipal industrial and commercial clientele)Recruiting and hiring for all officesScheduling resources for all programsProcess improvement for intake of architecture design work from the different developmentSome project management based on project type and group needsEffective people management and leadership skillsMarketing/Project PursuitsSupport pursuits in concert with other Pond Leadership and our Marketing teamOperational Responsible for day-to-day operations and overall resource management and financial metricsResponsible for working with Project Managers and Design Team for day to day decisions on resource allocation staffing and project budgetsResponsible for assessment of resources and effectiveness to meet current and future needsReview and approve of new hiresResponsible for training mentoring and professional development of direct reports and program team membersTechnicalOversee and actively manage our Quality Assurance ProgramAssist the architectural practice in branding Pond as an industry recognized technical expertQualifications:B. Arch or M. Arch at an accredited universityArchitectural Licensure is required. NCARB certification is preferred15 years of related experience including people and project managementAbility to work well within a team environment positive attitude multi-task and self-motivated to produce high quality to help us grow our practiceAbility and desire to learn and grow professionally
