Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
The Metal Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and assembling architectural metal components using shop drawings and standard fabrication practices. This role supports production by delivering quality work while developing advanced fabrication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fabricate metal components using steel stainless steel and aluminum
Perform MIG welding and basic TIG welding
Read and interpret shop drawings with minimal supervision
Cut grind fit and assemble parts accurately
Operate shop equipment (saws grinders drill press etc.)
Maintain quality standards and follow specifications
Support senior fabricators on complex assemblies
Maintain a clean and safe work environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
37 years of metal fabrication experience
Proficiency in MIG welding; basic TIG preferred
Ability to read shop drawings and perform standard layouts
Experience with common fabrication tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail and reliability
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
Must pass pre-employment physical/musculoskeletal exam
Must pass drug screening
Must pass an audiogram test
Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis
