Job Summary
Summary
This position builds upon your industry and design experience. You will have the opportunity to work independently with supervision on a variety of project types in a variety of roles. You will have the opportunity to coordinate major aspects and components of exciting projects with teams internal and external to the firm.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary
- Create and modify drawings as directed by others.
- Check own work prior to review by others.
- Understand and adhere to SERAs graphic standards.
- Create graphic presentations such as design review client presentations and marketing collateral.
- Research and coordinate details regarding specific scopes of work and/or sub consultants.
- Work with product vendors/manufacturers to develop architectural details. Coordinate with other team members and building systems/components.
- Support the construction contract administration lead and/or perform independent tasks for construction contract administration.
- Use the building code to develop architectural plans.
- Support the project by interacting with jurisdictions.
Additional
- Familiarity and adherence to project contract requirements.
- Supervise coordinate plan and review the work of 1-3 staff members. This includes the mentoring of staff on project teams.
- Ability to perform independent construction contract administration.
- Handle the health and welfare of the Revit model.
- Develop codify and enforce the BIM Execution Plan on assigned projects.
- Model the firms values and core commitments ensuring alignment with internal expectations for professionalism collaboration and ethical behavior.
- Respect and reinforce established firm policies and processes
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Requires a Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited program.
- Generally have 3-5 years of industry experience in an architects office.
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Sketchup and Bluebeam preferred.
- Ability to communicate through verbal written and graphic communication formats.
- Knowledge of Rhino Lumion Twinmotion and Unreal Engine preferred.
- Ability to determine the right tool for the task.
- Develop ability to prioritize multiple important tasks.
- Develop critical thinking to identify strengths weaknesses or alternate solutions to a problem with supervision.
