Architect- Workplace Hospitality Mixed Use
Job Summary
Collaborate on base building interior architecture and interior design projects that include programming client needs conceptual design schematic design design development space planning and management of budgets and schedules
Design and deliver functional and beautiful spaces for projects within Practice Areas such as: Office Developers Workplaces for Technology Financial Services Firms Professional Services Firms Hospitality Mixed Use and more
Develop building core and enclosure systems
Advise clients and team about the building and zoning codes
Manage client team and project coordination including full documentation coordination with structural MEP lighting AV landscape and civil consultants
Support communication between project team clients vendors contractors consultants and building and permitting officials
Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges
Maintain project manual and specifications
Conduct and document site visits process submittals substitution requests and RFIs during construction
Establish and maintain ongoing productive client relationships
Your Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited program
5-10 years of relevant experience with interior architecture and/or ground up building architectural experience (ideally both!)
Proficiency with Revit a must
Knowledge of SketchUp AutoCAD 3-D Enscape VRay Grasshopper Rhino or other visualization software Photoshop Illustrator InDesign and/or SPEXX a plus
Working knowledge of building codes standards building construction and building structures
Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas
Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Strong leadership organization communication and relationship management skills
Licensure or Registered Architect
LEED accreditation is a plus
Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; If possible portfolios should include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED Living Building Challenge WELL Building Standard Fitwel and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus which we look forward to discussing during the interview
