Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters DegreePlus Two (2) years nursing experiencewith Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN/CPN License
- Acute Care Certified OR Family Nurse Practitioner And/Or Urgent Care Certification
- Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
- Must be able to operate all typical nursing equipment essential to performing the job (i.e. scales procedure equipment needles blood pressure equipment and EKG machines).
- Must have normal communication sensory requirement.
- Ability to comply with CDC Universal Precautions when indicated.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire

Responsibilities:
- Provides healthcare services to patients which may include: comprehensive care during acute and chronic episodes of injury and illness follow up care during post-hospital clinic appointments education and counseling of families health promotion and prevention and referral to other health care providers and community resources when appropriate.
- Participates in institutional initiatives and encourages the participation of others.
- Collaborates in policy and program development implementation and evaluation using best practices in delivering quality service.
- Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of disciplines to diagnose and manage health care problems; will serve as a health care resource interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate.
- Communicates and shares complete and unbiased information assuring their colleagues receive timely complete and accurate information in order make informed decisions.
- Coordinates the multidisciplinary care of patients facilitating all necessary consults assuring that care is timely and appropriate.
- Actively engage in service line meetings and take an approach to health care that shapes policies programs facility design and day-to-day interactions.
- Maintains required audits for credentialing.
- Engages in appropriate continuing education programs maintain mandatory competencies medical center computer based learning modules and health monitoring services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
