Job Summary
The Apprentice Technician supports the service team by performing minor repairs routine maintenance and hands-on learning under the guidance of an assigned Master Technician mentor.
This role is designed to build the foundational skills and experience needed to advance into a flat-rate technician position. OEM training and on-the-job mentorship are provided.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work alongside a Master Technician mentor to learn dealership procedures and technical skills
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs as outlined on repair orders
- Assist with vehicle inspections to identify any additional service needs
- Learn to diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete repairs under supervision
- Complete required OEM online training as part of the apprentice curriculum
- Request guidance as needed and maintain an active learning mindset
Qualifications :
- Completion of an automotive technology program (e.g. UTI WyoTech or similar) preferred
- Ability to work full-time and maintain reliable attendance
- Previous shop or dealership experienceÂ
- Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive repair
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and dealership guidelines
- Must be authorized to work in the USA and possess a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements including background check MVR and drug screening.
Additional Information :
Compensation (Hourly: Flat-Rate):
- $20 / hr
- Based on experience certifications and skill level
- Tenure Bonus Program*:
- Starting at 6 months earn up to $3.50/hour on every flat-rate hour turned
- Bonus increases with tenure and is paid annually
Schedule:
- FULL-TIME
- Sundays Always Off
- Saturday Availability Required
