Konik is partnering with a fast-growing local startup focused on providing advanced sustainable heating and cooling technologies and is seeking an HVAC Applications Engineer to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity to join a mission-driven scaling organization developing innovative energy systems that significantly reduce carbon emissions across commercial industrial and multi-family facilities.

This is a highly visible cross-functional engineering role positioned between engineering sales operations and R&D. The Applications Engineer will help integrate complex renewable systems into customer environments while translating technical engineering concepts into practical customer-facing solutions.

HVAC Applications Engineer Renewable Systems Responsibilities:

• Support the integration of renewable an HVAC systems into customer mechanical infrastructure and building systems
• Coordinate system applications involving pumps valves sensors controls packages flow requirements and mechanical integration
• Collaborate with engineering sales operations and R&D teams throughout project development and execution
• Assist with technical proposals submittals presentations and customer-facing documentation
• Translate highly technical engineering and R&D information into practical customer-facing materials specifications and internal communication tools
• Develop technical documentation including schematics installation guides operational documentation and training materials
• Support field activities including startup commissioning troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Assist with performance calculations system analysis and continuous improvement initiatives across HVAC applications
  

HVAC Applications Engineer Renewable Systems Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
• 310 years of experience in HVAC systems mechanical systems engineering renewable energy systems applications engineering controls integration or related technical environments
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD SolidWorks or related CAD platforms
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience supporting customer proposals technical sales support or working in applications engineering functions is preferred
