| Job Summary: |
The Application Support Analyst - Advanced is responsible for reviewing and responding to reported software issues and escalations related to ADE applications used daily including both internally developed and third-party systems.
This role involves routine monitoring root-cause analysis remediation and communication of system errors to ensure proper operation.
Additionally the role requires the ability to understand functional requirements and contribute to change requests product testing and the creation of knowledge base and user documentation for supported applications.
Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with both external and internal customers across all levels and divisions of the organization.
Occasional in-state travel may is required for this position.
The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.
| Job Duties: |
Timely review and respond to help desk tickets regarding the website and web-related applications.
Document issue analysis root causes and resolutions along with steps to reproduce and hand over unresolved issues to application teams for further analysis and resolution as needed.
Work with teams to monitor status of unresolved issues escalate to management as appropriate.
Communicate issue resolutions and ensure customer is satisfied with response.
Create website pages website content and content for related applications as necessary requesting tickets if content requests are not submitted via the ticketing system.
Initiate and enforce web files and web-based applications are in compliance with departments web and accessibility standards throughout the departments websites and web-based applications.
Attend training and seminars to keep abreast of current industry trends.
Prepare website and web-related applications usage reports and other metrics to assist with development and support implementation plans.
Support the planning and testing of Drupal releases and application releases versions or software patches in support of agency.
Work with internal and external resources to implement and maintain websites accordingly.
Prepare application usage reports traffic analytics and other metrics.
Other duties as assigned as related to the position.

Knowledge in:
Web programming languages (including HTMLCSS)
Graphic design tools
Drupal or similar web Content Management Systems
Accessibility standards
Principles and techniques of application life-cycle management; project management life cycle and the role of the technical specialist in a project
English to include spelling sentence structure and grammar

HTML Hyper Text Markup Language
CSS Cascading Style Sheets
A Bachelors degree plus three or more years of experience in Technology Support or equivalent experience to substitute for the degree is required

Experience in website management preferably Drupal
Experience in web content creation
