Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Lead - Data Automation for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City NJ. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This role involves leading end-to-end quality assurance for large-scale data migration and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining QA strategy driving automation ensuring data integrity and providing technical leadership across cross-functional teams. Strong hands-on experience with Python and DB2 SQL is required.

Responsibilities:

• Own QA strategy and delivery for data migration and reporting applications
• Lead and execute source-to-target data validation and reconciliation of data from multiple sources
• Design and drive Python-based automation for data and report testing
• Validate ETL pipelines data warehouse loads and batch processes
• Ensure accuracy of reports dashboards and aggregations
• Follow Agile practices and routines and communicate work progress effectively
• Lead defect triage risk management and release sign-off
• Collaborate with data engineers developers and business stakeholders

Requirements:

• 10-15 years of experience as a QA Lead or Senior QA in data-centric environments
• 7 years of hands-on Python automation and advanced SQL
• 10 years of experience with data migration ETL data warehousing and reporting QA
• 10 years of experience with enterprise databases (Oracle SQL Server DB2 etc.)
• Experience using copilot and AI tools for enhanced productivity
• Strong understanding of a test-driven approach along with OOPS concepts
• Experience validating enterprise regulatory or risk reporting
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
• Background experience with data migration on Risk projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay range: $61.60 - $69.60 per hour
