Application Engineer

Responsibilities:Sizes & selects technical products & services as well as provides engineering information to the client cost estimates and quotations by reviewing customer specifications and other related and submit required customer documentation and obtain required documentation from to phone and email correspondence from customers manufacturers and the outside sales customer acceptance by explaining product application including product features & benefits assisting with special orders and specialty current and future customer equipment Customer Portal(s) internal resources (purchasing sales shipping & receiving) as project personal rapport with customers principals and outside sales purchase orders with equipment manufacturers which include providing technical & commercial orders and maintain contact with customers and up on orders to assure critical any order problems related to delivery or paperwork issues directly with customers and a technical analysis of field failures and returns from all inquiries/contacts in a professional in concert with our outside sales team; funnel leads/opportunities to the sales product issues or determine product needs over the phone or via Education and Experience:Minimum: Associates or Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and or prior experience in the Skills and Abilities:Solid computer skills including proficiency with CAD spreadsheet and database applicationsMust possess the ability to think and solve problems with creative understanding. Must have a good eye for detail and be able to suggest process/specification modifications as requiredAbility to organize and prioritize jobsExcellent written and oral communication skillsSpecification and mechanical drawing interpretationStrong organizational abilities and project management skillsThe ability to work cooperatively with peers to achieve organizational goalsHigh degree of independence self-motivation and self-direction especially with regard to identifying and managing high priority projects in a fast-paced environment
