Application Developer Mid

The Opportunity:

• Build mission-critical GEOINT applications on a fast-paced Agile team supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
• Develop modern web-based software that enables intelligence analysis and mission execution.
• Work across the full stack from user-facing features to data services in a cloud-native environment.
• Sharpen your skills alongside senior developers architects and mission stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Design develop test and maintain web application features using Java and/or Python.
• Implement and consume RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Develop and enhance GIS-enabled application capabilities and services.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases to manage structured and unstructured data.
• Participate in code reviews unit testing debugging and integration activities.
• Apply secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Deliver within sprint cycles as part of a cross-functional Agile team.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted).
• 4 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency developing in Java Python or both.
• Experience with modern web application frameworks and development practices.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and data modeling.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and Agile development practices.
• Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with willingness to undergo polygraph examination.

Desired:

• Experience with GIS technologies (ArcGISGeoServerOpenLayers Cesium or similar).
• Familiarity with containerization cloud orDevSecOpstooling.
• Experience operating withinSAFeor Agile delivery frameworks.
