General Position Summary: The Junior Application Coordinator (AC)participatesin the development and design of the application(s) for which the AC is responsible andis required togain an in-depth knowledge of the assigned Epic module(s). This opening is for a position on the Professional Billing team.
Job Responsibilities:
Analysis and Design:
Employ proficient analytical skills to define systems requirements andobjectivesfor system application and interfaces.
Communicate with project team members.
Identifydata element needs for clinical andbusiness operations.
Prepare written documentation of clinical and/or business operation workflows.
Draft project scope plans project plans and issue logs;monitorand report status of assigned project task plans to Leadproject staffand/or manager.
Function as a liaison to the system users and stakeholders to translate clinical and/or business requirements into technical requirements dataflowsand process flows.
Educate team members on clinical and/or business operations requirementsobjectivesand the relevantsystemapplications or modules.
Set standards for naming and numbering conventions and security classifications.
Assistin developing risk mitigation strategies.
Provide support in developing reportsvalidatingdata and developing control mechanisms.
Analyze new functionality in releases todeterminehow it should be used.
Application Configuration/Development:Work with theappropriate subjectmatter experts and other project team members in design build and validation sessions.
Provide technicalexpertisein the supported application. Work with application stakeholders to improve the effectiveutilizationof the application.
Perform system administration and configuration.
Create and documentappropriate unittest plans.
Understand how workflow decisions translate to application configurations.
Build system dictionaries and perform test system setups.
Populate databases during the initial system build with assistance from vendor.
Work closely with the technical support on issues of install choices master file and category list set up synonyms and preference lists etc.
Testing and Implementation Skills:Assist with full system testing and go-live planning.
Develop with the Enterprise team for test scenarios/conditions.
Assistwith creation and execution of system and integratedtest plans.
Assistin the preparation of the application live plan.
Collaborate withtrainingteamand work with end users.
Aid trainers during user training.
System Support:Support application during and after live process.
Prioritize and implement requested changes to the system.
Coordinate software updates and changes with users.
Review new vendor software releases and updates to helpdeterminewhich features will beutilized.
Maintain rules for how eachnew versionis released.
Analyze new functionality in new releases to determine whether or how it should be used.

Establishchangecontrol processes and procedures
Communication/Project Management:
Identify key dependencies for assigned tasks and work to manage these to meet milestones.
Educate and coach other team members and work with minimal supervision in support of team members on tasks of medium complexity.
Reportproject issues and staff performance issues to Team Lead / Manager.
Frequently provide status reports.
Respond to vendor questions.

Required Job Qualifications: Education:Baccalaureate degreeeducationor health related field with educational certification(s) and/or related experience beyond minimum training experience qualifications may substitute for formal education requirement on a twoyears experience-for-one year education basis.
Certifications: Requiredto complete and pass certificationinassignedEPICapplication module(s) within120 daysof employment in this role.
Experience:Twoyearsoperational experience in a clinical or healthcare business operations setting or twoyears experiencein Information Technology.
General understanding of the workflows in clinical or healthcare business operations.
Preferred Job Qualifications:Experienceimplementing clinical and/or healthcare business information systems in a large-scale and complex healthcare organization.
Epic certification in the module(s)being represented.
Experience in Epic installations.
Knowledge of the current healthcare environmentpreferred.
Experience in developing business and/or clinical workflows related to the assigned application module.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSAs):Ability to handle analysis design systemconfigurationand testing tasks at a low to medium level of complexity.
Ability to incorporatepolicies procedures and specific clinical practice and/or business processing needsinto information systems training
Excellent customer service skills
Highly effectivewritten andverbal communication and interpersonal skills toestablishworking relationships that fosteroptimalquality teamwork and education
Strong organizational skills in managing multiple priorities
Uses critical thinking skillsregardinguse of the clinical/businessoperationssoftware applications
Detailed understanding of clinical/business operations workflows and system configuration gained byparticipatingin validation sessions with project team members andassistingin system design.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications Word Excel PowerPoint withproficiencyin Microsoft Visio and Project desirable.
Demonstratedexpertisein technical design techniques for related software applications.
Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles as they relate toassigned tasks.
Salary Range: Minimum 33.91/hour - Maximum 59.36/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
