Application Architect

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Cloud Senior Architect - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler AZ. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This role requires a thought leader in cloud technology to oversee the overall architecture of Hybrid cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance on design decisions define best practices as part of the Cloud Center of Excellence and partner with Information Security and application teams to engineer secure and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a thought leadership role in cloud technology staying up to date on offerings of various cloud service providers
• Maintain overall product design documentation and architectural oversight for Hybrid cloud platforms
• Provide expert level guidance on Cloud design decisions standards and operational practices
• Define and govern best practices in cloud platforms engineering cloud operations and cloud-native application development
• Plan and implement the selection of new cloud services and tools to enable the cloud roadmap
• Drive discussions in the architecture review board and develop platform architecture artifacts
• Partner with Information Security teams to engineer secure application patterns
• Work with teams on applications with high complexity to provide guidance on cloud platforms

Requirements:

• Experience delivering large scale distributed enterprise platforms with a focus on performance scale security and reliability
• Experience in DevOps GitOps and Infrastructure-as-Code with technologies such as Terraform
• Experience with on-premises Private Cloud and Public Cloud platforms (Azure AWS Google Cloud)
• Deep knowledge of web protocols Linux and/or Windows operating systems
• Experience in native CSP orchestration stacks (e.g. Azure ARM templates AWS CloudFormation)
• Experience in container-native technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience in cloud-native logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk or Prometheus
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins pipelines and container repos
• Experience in infrastructure automation tools and programming languages such as Ansible Java or Python
• Expert level in one or more of the following: Cloud IAM Cloud network and security design Cloud IaaS design (including Packer) Native cloud services (CosmosDB BigTable) or Cloud-native Kubernetes services (AKS GKE EKS)
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible Puppet or Salt
• Experience in Agile development practices and test-driven development
• Demonstrated excellence in organizational leadership communication and troubleshooting skills

Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour
