Scope of Project:
The Apple/ macOS SME provides specialized engineering expertise for macOS endpoint environments including secure baseline development device management and compliance enforcement using Apple-native and enterprise tools.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Apple/ macOS SME to lead secure endpoint engineering lifecycle management and automation across macOS environments.
Responsibilities:
Endpoint Hardening & Secure Baselines:
- Develop and maintain secure macOS baselines and configurations
- Implement protections like FileVault secure authentication and compliance controls
Imaging Patching & Automation:
- Design and automate macOS image builds and validation pipelines
- Manage patching lifecycle and rollback procedures
Device Enrollment & Lifecycle Management:
- Administer JAMF Pro and Apple Business Manager
- Manage provisioning enrollment and decommissioning workflows
Telemetry & Logging:
- Configure macOS logging and integrate with SIEM platforms
- Ensure logging consistency for audit and detection
Engineering Workflow:
- Conduct assessments and implement remediation following structured methodologies
Documentation & Training:
- Create macOS-specific runbooks and support knowledge transfer
Required/Preferred Skills
- 8 years IT experience with strong macOS specialization
- Expert in:
- JAMF Pro
- Apple Business Manager/ MDM
- Experience with macOS security controls and scripting (Bash Python)
